**AWS DevOps Engineer, Edinburgh, up to £500 per day, outside IR35, 6 month initial contract**
**Your new company**
This role is with one of our key publics sector clients, located in Edinburgh. This organisation is looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to work within one of their agile platform development teams. This is an initial 6-months contract with likelihoodof extension. This contract has a rate of up to £500 per day, outside IR35.
**Your new role**
This organisation is building out its presence in the cloud (AWS) and is looking for an experienced DevOps/platform engineer to help support development teams to use their development platforms, focusing on a hybrid of containerisation and serverless technologies.You will develop and support their Openshift platform, as well as build and support solutions for CI/CD, monitoring and logging.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will have significant experience designing and building platforms in AWS and AWS serverless technologies. Technical skills include:

- CI/CD methodology and tooling for AWS and containerisation
- Infrastructure as code principles
- Designing and building platforms in AWS
- Security tooling and practices

In addition, the following skills are desirable but not essential:

- Openshift/Kubernetes
- Python
- CDK, Typescript, Ansible, Bash
- Elasticsearch, Opensearch
- Grafana, Kibana

**What you'll get in return**
