The post holder will ensure that the school caretaking requirements for events and meetings are delivered to a high standard and meet the event planning sheets. They will liaise with the Ground and Maintenance teams where specialist support is required. They will ensure that the caretaking team efficiently manage the day-to-day caretaking requests and assist the Cleaning Manager and teams as required.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Advance preparation of daily/weekly work schedules for the team. The schedules will allocate work by area or on rotation, whichever is appropriate to ensure duties are always shared equally and fairly.
- Undertake the day-to-day supervision of the caretaking team and monitor quality standards in line with the customers’ expectations and event planners.
- Use the ShireSystem to manage caretaking jobs from start to finish.
- Attend event planning meetings and be an effective communicator with all internal and external customers.
- Assist the caretaking team with daily duties and lead by example to maintain high standards. - Ensure work tasks are completed by the team in a compliant, safe manner as defined by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- To manage the day-to-day activities and exceptions presented by the site and seek advice from the Cleaning Manager where appropriate.
- Ensure bi-monthly 1-1 meetings are held with each team member. Complete annual appraisals and manage performance.
- Manage team absences, holidays and return to works interviews, post sickness. Ensure all events are recorded in iTrent.
- Monitor and control stock levels ensuring security of any hazardous materials.
- Uphold and adhere to the ACS Values and Code of Conduct. - Any other duties requested by the Cleaning Manager

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience of Supervising of a team
- Experience of caretaking or similar role e.g event set ups
- Knowledge of COSHH, Manual Handling and general Health and Safety legislation.
- Able to assess work tasks and create risk assessments as appropriate.
- Experience of cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning equipment.

This is a full time, non-term time, permanent role working Monday to Friday form 7am-4pm.
