**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- It is the responsibility of the Development Engineering organisation to demonstrate that the power plant design satisfies its goals and specifications. This includes not only the field of nuclear engineering but also the wider spectrum of engineering tasks required to complete a significant infrastructure project. The team's duties include formulating the verification strategy for the power plant and carrying out any testing-related verification activities, which can range from simple laboratory tests to extremely complicated system-level rig tests at some of the top facilities in the world. Within the framework of the Test Capability programme, the Test Lead will be responsible for delivering one or more tests. They will oversee delivery throughout the whole test lifecycle and define work packages within their team (which may include design, analysis, testing specifications, etc., depending on the type of test). They will show stakeholders at governance reviews how mature the rig design, build, and test is. In order to execute their test, they will collaborate with the Supply Chain team to build and maintain relationships with outside partners. Throughout this process, they will serve as the main intelligent customer and point of contact.
Expertise carrying out test programmes to guarantee they produce the necessary validation or verification evidence, including, where appropriate, through scaled tests or sub-element testing.
It is preferred to have knowledge and experience in nuclear civil engineering.
Proficiency in obtaining data, comprehending it, and articulating it in a suitable and captivating manner, including official correspondence like gate evaluations to the relevant parties.
The capacity to foresee risks or problems early on and take proactive measures to address them with little oversight.

**Required Skills (Technical Competency)**:

- Qualified in engineering discipline to degree level or equivalent.
- Have professional recognition from the relevant body, or be working towards it.
- Although not required, a project management qualification is encouraged.
