NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for a creative and detail oriented UX/UI Designer to join our team and help us create engaging and intuitive digital experiences for our users.

**Purpose of the role**

As a UX/UI Designer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate user needs and business requirements into visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design of innovative digital solutions that enhance user satisfaction and drive business success.

**Responsibilities**

Responsible for designing and implementing user-centred interfaces that meet the needs of our target audience while aligning with business objectives.

Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand user needs, business requirements, and project goals.

Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for digital interfaces, ensuring consistency, usability, and accessibility across all touchpoints.

Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing results, continuously improving the user experience.

Work closely with developers to ensure the successful implementation of design solutions, providing guidance and support throughout the development process.

Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design, and advocate for their adoption within the organisation.

Collaborate with other designers and team members to maintain design consistency and contribute to the evolution of design standards and processes.

**What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?**

Bachelor’s or equivalent in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.

Proven experience (3+ years) in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and projects.

Experienced in the use of design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar tools, as well as prototyping tools like InVision or Axure.

Proficient in implementing mobile/responsive design techniques

Solid understanding of user-centred design principles, usability best practices, and design thinking methodologies.

Strong visual design skills, with an eye for typography, colour, and layout.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and work effectively in a team environment.

Ability to design style guides and design principles, maintaining consistency and integrity across digital platforms and experiences.

Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating closely with developers.

Detail-oriented with a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

**How you’ll work**

Hybrid working; a blend of home and office working 2/3 days in the office and 2/3 days at home.
