Smiths has grown from a single owner-operated plant hire company to a multifaceted group with family values still firmly at the heart of each project undertaken. With depots in Avonmouth, Cardiff, Gloucester, Stonehouse and Tewkesbury we operate predominately across the South-West of England. We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.

**Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri and 7am-12pm 1 in 2 Saturdays.**

**Salary: £30,000 - £36,400**

**Responsibilities for the job role**:
Ensure compliance within the operation area with all company procedures, statutory legislation and industry good practice.
- Removal of car parts and ensuring safe transportation and storage.
- Ensure quality checking of all incoming vehicles.
- Provide an excellent service to both new and existing customers.
- Ensure that work is carried out safely and efficiently in line with company procedures.
- Relaying of accurate information to the site supervisor.
- Ensure that all daily checks are carried out correctly and any defects reported to the site supervisor.
- Ensure that vehicles are stored in a safe and proper manner, especially when using mobile plant.
- Contribution towards efficient running of the end of life vehicle operation.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures (including but not limited to) those specified in the employment handbook, health and safety policy and EMS system.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping ensuring that rig, tools and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy.
