**Job Title**:Warehouse Operative

**Department**: Operations

**Reports to**:Warehouse and Procurement Manager

**The role**: Providing a friendly service for our installers, deliveries and office staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the warehouse stock and supporting our renewable energy installation teams to take the right materials and equipment for their jobs each day. In this role you will learn to:

- Prepare orders by; picking materials listed on collection notes, packing boxes, placing orders in delivery area.
- Unload, lift and relocate stock to ensure warehouse efficiency.
- Check, record and replace returned materials in the warehouse.
- Receive deliveries, check against delivery notes, record any damaged, missing or faulty goods, move the stock to the correct area in the warehouse manually or using the mechanical handling equipment and vehicles.
- Perform inventory checks as required.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Ensure recyclable and non-recyclable packaging materials are sorted and placed in designated bays.
- Transport stock to sites, where required.

This is an active role, where you will be standing and physically moving stock, as well as driving and operating machinery for the majority of time; working indoors within the Warehouse and outdoors in the yard.

Safety is paramount throughout our Company and particularly in this role. You must be able to follow safety, quality and Company procedures. You need to be able to lift, bend, twist, kneel and crouch. You will need a full driving licence in order to deliver stock to sites using Company vehicles when needed. Experience of driving a forklift is desirable but not essential, full training will be given.

**Working hours**: 37.5 hours per week, starting at 7.30am to open the yard and warehouse, Mondays to Fridays, but with flexibility required to fit in with site and installation requirements.
