**What will the role involve?**
- Managing day to day purchasing requirements for Direct Materials
- Raising POs and expediting delivery dates for parts for Production
- Negotiating prices and contractual agreements with suppliers
- Managing supplier quality and performance
- Reducing costs/lead-times & developing BCC supplier base
- Minimising supply risk & inventory exposure

**What will you ideally bring to the role?**
- Previous Purchasing experience in Manufacturing/Engineering
- Proven track record purchasing Direct materials for Production
- Ability to understand technical specifications / read engineering drawings
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict timelines
- Analytical, structured and good attention to detail
