We have a great opportunity for a Site Foreperson who has worked either within the highways infrastructure or the street lighting sector. This position will require the postholder to be prepared to work across parts of Cambridge. This role is currently a 12 month fixed term contract.

As a Site Foreperson in our street lighting sector, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the planning of our street lighting contracts and EV charging installations across London and the home counties. Your responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring the safety of all personnel on-site
- Overseeing daily work activities
- At time assisting the teams to carry out installation works when required
- Managing multiple subcontractors effectively
- Problem solving
- Reviewing and optimizing work schedules to programme works
- Ordering materials
- Scheduling and maintaining site offices
- Upholding project availability standards
- Providing training and ensuring the safety of technicians
- Effective communication with the management team

In addition, you will be responsible for setting site and individual goals, staying within budgetary constraints, and handling disciplinary actions when necessary.

**Skills, qualifications and experience**

**Essential**:

- Previous experience in infrastructure projects in street lighting, utilities and EV charging installations on the highways sector
- Supervisory experience
- Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office
- NRSWA Street Works certified

**Desirable**:

- BS7671 Electrical Testing & Inspection Level 3
- SSSTS certification
- Familiarity with current solar technology
- First Aid certified
