**Who are we looking for? **We are seeking a **Bookkeeper** to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious Bookkeeper who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records to ensure the smooth financial operations of the company, as well as for recording financial transactions, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and generating financial reports.

**What are the responsibilities for this role?**
- Weekly oversight of the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for 3 entities and responsible for one, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner
- Weekly oversight of weekly bank statements reconciliations and resolving discrepancies for 3 entities and responsible for one, ensuring all queries are being dealt with in a timely manner
- Weekly review of POs raised and allocations to ensure accurate cost recognition
- Daily cashflow reconciliations
- Reconciliation of weekly retail and e-commerce sales
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes including journal postings, prepayments, accruals & nominal reconciliations
- Assistance in implementing and managing continuous improvements by highlighting weaknesses and recommending changes in working practices and processes in order to increase efficiency
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Providing ad-hoc support to the Finance Manager as and when required

**What sets you apart from the crowd?**
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper in a similar role
- Proficiency with Xero
- Experience within a retail environment is desirable
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**What we offer?**
- Salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
