Nelipak Elsham team is looking for an **Extrusion Lead** (Days based) who can take charge and understands how to troubleshoot equipment and quality problems. Someone who doesn't want to stop learning and growing

**Purpose of the role**:
Responsible for the Safety, Quality, Delivery & Performance of the extrusion department ensuring that department supports the overall strategy of the site. Being a role model for site in world class manufacturing practices.

**Specific responsibilities**:

- Monitor and drive improvements through key departmental KPI’s across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Cash, Employee & Engineering;
- Ensure all product that is produced meets the Quality specification applicable to each customer both internal and external;
- Utilise Root cause analysis to drive and improve Right First Time;
- Liaise and support the planning team to ensure each asset is planned in the most efficient order to balance across all internal & external KPI’s;
- Adjust labour to enable department to meet plan and supply customer requirements on time. Ensure all overtime is authorised;
- Monitor all stocks and ensure stock accuracy across the department;
- Monitor all waste created and look for further opportunities to reduce waste;
- Ensure all planned maintenance & medical cleaning activities are completed to a schedule, on time and if full;
- Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure all breakdowns or maintenance issues are raised and closed off in a timely manner;
- Support and drive continuous improvement regarding people, processes and procedures;
- Mentor all extrusion staff to maximise skill sets and become a role model for them ensuring all training and assignments are completed on time;
- Other tasks as assigned.

**What will you bring?**

Ø Years + FMCG Operation experience

Ø Proven knowledge of COSHH and relevant H&S regulations

Ø Experience in leading a team, ability to coach & train colleagues in new/improved ways of working

Ø Strong co-ordination, planning & organisational skills

Ø Willingness to learn new skills and be open to new ideas

Ø Good emotional intelligence and self-awareness

Ø Possess a ‘Can-do attitude’, and be able to work to high standards and to deadlines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £16.65 per hour
