**About us**:
The Liver Failure Group’s research focus is on translational research in complications of cirrhosis spanning investigation in model systems, to multi-centre clinical trials. The Cirrhocare study, aims to impact the high readmission rates of decompensated cirrhosis and evaluate the clinical effectiveness of a digital therapeutic management system, to allow community intervention and follow-up. Duties/Responsibilities: To ensure appropriate patients are screened and recruited in accordance with Good Clinical Practice and the study protocols of Cirrhocare, ensuring high quality data capture and analysis. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the submission of ethics, study design and databases around this study and sub-studies in advanced cirrhosis. In addition, they will have engagement with other activities within the research group, whilst also being involved in dissemination tasks such as drafting manuscripts and preparing presentations for conferences and meetings.

**About the role**:
The postholder must have a medical degree, and have MRCP parts 1 and 2, and evidence ofadvanced training in Internal medicine, and substantive training in tertiarycentre Hepatology, including liver failure and liver transplantation. The postholder is also expected to have significant working knowledge of research inclinical trials in decompensated cirrhosis and demonstrate an ability to workwithin a team and delegate tasks as appropriate. It would be highly desirableif the post holder wished to pursue further independent research and a higherdegree such as a PhD and can show evidence of prior basic laboratory skills.
