**Introduction**:
**This is a hybrid role with 1-2 days per week required onsite. The rest of the work can be done from home.**

**My client is a large defence and engineering consultancy who offer services and through-life support to the Military and other government clients.**

**They are looking for a Technical Author to produce documentation for in-service support equipment.**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Create maintenance and operational procedures for in-service equipment
- Produce structured and unstructured technical publications
- Must adhere to defence standards
- Create graphics and animations

**Skills & experience**:

- Experience with office and XML
- Must be able to read and interpret 3D CAD models and Bills of Materials
- Prior experience supporting defence equipment with a good knowledge of mechanical/electrical/communication skills
- Able to work across a portfolio of projects
