Clinical Typist

We are currently looking to appoint a Clinical Typist to work in Child Health, The Den within the Family Care Division at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
Excellent organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure are essential requirements together with great attention to detail for ensuring letters are completed accurately.
To be successful in this role you will possess Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent), audio typing and computer skills. Additionally, you will have relevant office/secretarial experience and have effective communication skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology, customer care and previous NHS experience are also desirable.
The main emphasis of this role is to provide comprehensive typing and clerical cover to support Consultants and Junior Medical staff in Child Health. For example: liaising with medical staff to ensure sufficient management of patients through the hospital and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Duties will include audio typing and word processing tasks, meeting deadlines for GP correspondence, carrying out general clerical duties and track and receive patient records in and out of the department.
