**About us**

Celyn Veterinary Group is a small-animal veterinary practice in the heart of Holywell, and Prestatyn. We are a fun, caring team, who are looking for an additional member to support our clinical team to provide excellent client and patient care.

Main Purpose of Role:
You will also be responsible for handling administration duties accurately. Our receptionists are a friendly face and listening ear when our clients need it most, whilst demonstrating a professional and knowledgeable impression to promote the practice and give confidence to our clients.

As the receptionist you will report to the Head Receptionist and focus on the performance of clinic administrative tasks and meeting administrative deadlines. You will prepare and execute daily banking tasks, maintenance and surveillance of cash records and till cash float. You will also follow-up on unpaid accounts, complete insurance claims and manage filing of clinic paper records. You will be responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of clinic administrative duties overall.

Role requirements:

- Previous receptionist experience or the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Experience in an animal environment preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and compassionate demeanour.
- Proficiency in using office equipment, computer software, and electronic medical record systems is essential.
- Familiarity with veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and common medications is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

Duties will involve:

- Booking and organising appointments
- Recording and following up enquiries
- End of day banking
- Administration and general house keeping
- Cleaning client waiting areas and keeping reception clean and tidy

Shift and schedule

Our surgery is open Monday to Friday 07:45-19:30 and Saturdays from 08:00-12:00. You will be expected to work Saturday mornings on a fair rota basis

Hours per week: up to 40 available
