Order Picker

We are seeking Order Pickers for a client of ours in Peterlee. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting and packing customer orders.

**This is within a Chilled / Freezer environment, PPE will be provided.**

**Duties**
- Utilise a warehouse management system to locate and pick items for customer orders
- Pack items securely to ensure safe delivery
- Load and unload shipments from trucks using forklifts or other equipment
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and cycle counting

**Skills**

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

- Experience in shipping, receiving, and stock management
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time
- Proficiency in operating forklifts or other mechanical equipment (ideally)
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and order picking processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks
- Excellent organisational skills to maintain an efficient workflow

**Salary**: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (required)
