Electrician Jib

**JA1154 - JIB Approved Electrical Technician**
**Location - Derby**
**Salary - as per JIB rates**
**Type - Permanent - Full-time**
**Overview**:
We are currently recruiting for a JIB Approved Electrical Technician for the position of Site Technician or Installation Technician.
(a) Site Technician Must have at least three years in a supervisory capacity in charge of electrical installations of such complexity and dimension as to require wide technical experience and organisational ability.
(b) Installation Technician Must have, with the support of the employer, exceptional technical skill, ability, and experience beyond that expected of an Approved Electrician, so that their value to the employer would be as if they were qualified as a technicianunder (a) above.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**

**Skills & Experience**:

- Must have fully met the requirements for the grade of Approved Electrician.
- Must have obtained: - A higher technical qualification (the City & Guilds “C” Course Certificate, a Level 4 technical certificate in Building Services Engineering with an electrical installation bias (such as an HNC or approved equivalent) or - A recognisedBS7671 course in Design and Verification of Electrical Installations.
- Must have obtained - Electrical Testing (City & Guilds 2391)
- Must have obtained - BS 7671, 18th Edition wiring regulations
- Must be able to operate the following programmes - Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project
