Flt Operative

**Extra Recruitment are recruiting for a FLT Operative for the Bilston area.**

As FLT driver, you will be required to use equipment to assist with loading/unloading, packaging, and other steps along a logistics process. While the exact duties may vary, a yard/warehouse operative may be expected to handle heavy items such as forklifts, shrink wrappers etc. which will be stipulated by your current level of training.

**Details of a FLT Operative**
- Monday - Friday
- 7am to 15.45pm with 30 mins break & 1pm finish on Friday
- £12.73 p/h
- Overtime paid at £15.47 (May be required at short notice)
- Temp - Perm after 12 weeks

**Role of a FLT Operative**
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
- Carry out loading, unloading, inspection, packaging and wrapping machine operation duties
- Maintain the work area to ensure that it is clean, safe and organized.
- Provide assistance to other operators in their assigned responsibilities.
- Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
- Complete written documentation including calculations and quality checks.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on equipment as directed

**Experience requirements of a FLT Operative**
- Must have FLT Counterbalance licence.
- Have experience moving steel with sizes 5m - 13m in length. (Essential)
- Being able to work quickly, without skipping any part of the process or compromising on safety or quality.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Some experience of using computerised systems would be beneficial
- Good Numeracy skills
