**Who is SIS (Solutions in Service)**
SIS encourage and provide social inclusion opportunities through use of local amenities and services for example day centres, support groups and leisure activities with the intention of integrating clients back into the community.
**Requirement of the Senior Support Worker-**
- Ensure service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
- To supervise staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
- Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service.
- To provide leadership to the care staff within the service
- To provide care in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations, under the direction of the Manager.
- To supervise the care services within the organisation in accordance with agreed standards
- Organise and plan supervisions and appraisals for staff.

**What are we looking for**:
Ideally a driver but not essential.
Previous care and management experience. Level 3 NVQ or above is desirable but not essential.

**Training**
We provide a wide range of **free** training bespoke to the service and individuals we support, which we regularly update to reflect current sector wide policy and best practice. Our training services are designed to offer advice and guidance in a range of areas to services that support people with complex mental health diagnoses.
**Service**
Sovereign Court is a supported living environment which is made up of 17 flats, all of which are self-contained flats. There is one communal flat with access to cooking facilities, lounge area and bathroom. The communal flat is used for a range of activities with groups and individuals. Sovereign court is situated in an ideal location, with a twenty-minute walk into the centre of Huddersfield and in proximity to local smaller shops, there are excellent travel links such as the Huddersfield bus station and the Huddersfield train station both of which are a twenty-minute walk away. There is also a smaller train station in Lockwood with great transport links.
