We are looking for an experienced bakery supervisor to join our Hearty's bakery team at our Tong Garden Centre
Known for our creams, vanilla slices, scones and loaf cakes, we are looking for someone who is confident in a bakery, weighing up, using bakery equipment including spiral and planetary mixers, depositing cake mix, topping and piping of creams. On an average day our bakery team make batches of 144 Vanilla Slices, 80 Bavarians, 60 Eclairs, make & decorate 60 loaded brownies, 50 kilos of fruit scones and 10 kilos of cherry scones.
We are looking for someone to support and lead our bakery teams along side our Head Baker.
This role is for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about their baking, maintains exceptional baking standards and consistency, and enjoys motivating and leading a GREAT team of bakers. A bakery supervisor must be able to properties workload, project product demand, think on their feet and make decisions, all whilst ensuring team work is optimising our two bakeries across two sites. Our teams work together to help deliver the tastiest treats to our restaurants and shop floor in high volumes.
Most bakery shifts start at 6am, finish at 4:30pm and you will be working every other weekend. Your shifts will be contracted to the same days on a two week rotating schedule, allowing you to build strong team relationships and get to know the business partners.
We are currently looking for a full time, permanent supervisor to join our team.
Applicants with bakery, patisserie, dessert or kitchen experience are encouraged to apply.
Pay: £23,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
