The BI service’s mission is to use the Council’s data in collaborative and imaginative ways so that insight and intelligence is at the heart of how the Council operates and improves services to residents.

The Education BI Lead will lead and manage a team of analysts in the BI Education function. The BI Education team are responsible for completing the Department for Education (DfE) statutory returns across Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND), Early Years as well as all statutory DfE collections from Hammersmith and Fulham schools. This includes, but not limited to, the termly school census, the attainment collections such as key stage 1, and 2 as well as overseeing the annual SEN2 and Early Years census returns. The role will lead, manage, and develop a team of BI Analysts as well as overseeing the continual development and maintenance of the performance management frameworks across each service area.

**Role Responsibilities**:

- Lead on the completion of statutory returns including SEN2, Early Years Census, and the termly School Census and attainment collections.
- Support Children’s Service in preparation for inspection by providing analysis and reporting including for the SEND area inspection.
- Lead on the collation of requirements from stakeholders and translate these into BI solutions.
- Lead and effectively manage a team of analysts ensuring that a collaborative working environment is created, and staff are further developed within their roles.
- Lead on the development and maintenance of the Education performance management frameworks across Early Years, SEND and Schools.
- Carry out distinctive pieces of analysis to support Children Services to improve service provision and outcomes for residents.
- Proactively research and understand new statistical techniques including machine learning that can be deployed within Education to improve service delivery.
- Work closely with the BI development team to ensure technology is leveraged to improve the functionality of our products and increase automation.
