We are seeking an experienced Senior Operating Department Practitioner to join our team. As an Operating Department Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in the Operating theatres. Your expertise in critical care, infection prevention control, and patient care will be essential in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

- Assist the theatre manager with the running of theatres including organising staff rotas and carrying out appraisals
- Set up and maintain surgical equipment and instruments
- Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery
- Provide assistance to surgeons and other medical professionals during procedures
- Administer medications as directed by the surgical team
- Ensure a sterile environment is maintained throughout the surgical process
- Assist with patient positioning and transfer to and from the operating table
- Document patient information accurately and maintain patient records
- Assist with the running of the Pre-assessment clinic
- Liasing with post operative patients

To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:

- Experienced in Anaesthetics, Scrub and Recovery
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Experience working in critical care settings such as ICU or emergency department
- Proficiency in infection prevention control practices
- Ability to analyze and respond to changes in patient conditions
