**Job Overview**:
We are looking for a responsible operative who is interested in embracing a new challenge with a rare and exciting opportunity to join the Liquid Processing team at Taw Valley. You need to be a great communicator who is happy to work independently within a small but critical department of the business which is currently in the process of being renovated and improved.

**Main duties to include**:
You will be primarily responsible for receiving milk onsite, dispatching bulk liquid cream products

and hygiene of the milk reception plant equipment and environment. Full training will be given plus the opportunity to upskill in other areas of the liquid processing.

Previous dairy / food manufacturing experience would be desirable.

12 hour 4 on 4 off day / night shift pattern offering competitive rate of pay + shift allowance

Potential for overtime if required

**Key responsibilities**:

- Manufacturing processes & Automation and technology
- Runs the department's processes
- Understands process parameters and product characteristics.
- Uses operator interfaces for machines and processing equipment.

**Process technology**
- Able to use basic analytical equipment
- Able to use PC and familiar with basic spreadsheets and data input

**CIP / Cleaning & Hygiene**
- Puts basic cleaning principles into practice.
- Evaluates the washing and cleaning results.
- Participates actively in the development and optimisation of the washing processes
- Works in a hygienic manner to remove food safety risk

**Production economics**
- Follows KPIs for the department.
- Minimises, manages and reports losses.

**Food safety**
- Applies procedures and instructions regarding food safety (HACCP) where applicable
- Identifies causes of quality deficiencies and suggests improvements.

**Product knowledge**
- Ensures what is pass/fail product, handling non-conforming product.
- Manages recipe of products

**Work environment**
- Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment.
