IWJS employs over 500 staff across various depots across the UK and due to our continued expansion, we are now looking for an Operational Supervisor to work out of our Derby depot.

The Operations Supervisor is an ambassador for IWJS and MWS and responsible for operational leadership of clients/contracts within their area of control for external and internal performance outcomes, delivering to World Class health, safety, quality and environmental standards and maintaining high levels of employee engagement. Mentoring and supporting all operational site staff.

As an Operations Supervisor you will need to be compliant with and use corporate systems. Support the operational resource / activities within areas of responsibility. Support operational performance. You will ensure delivery to highest SHEQ standards including site audits and attendance of monthly Stand Downs.

You will be required to make sure all teams are in possession of equipment/supplies/materials to safely undertake each task. Ensure delivery of productivity rates on jobs. Personal supervision and matching of team’s resources to job requirement.

You will ensure contract operations conform to client specification, statutory requirements and IWJS policies / procedures. Maintain high levels of customer / end user satisfaction. Ensure contracts are effectively resourced and that key personnel are retained and developed.

You will support the Operation Manager adhering to IWJS company values and compliance including our anti-corruption and anti-bribery policy, fraud, hospitality and gifts governance.

You will support, coach and mentor direct and indirect reports. Form strong and effective relationships with customers’ key representatives. Establish positive relationships with key supply chain and joint venture partners.

Acts as a safety and wellbeing champion and role model, taking the lead in driving health, safety and wellbeing performance across their contracts. Support the depot manager to ensure the facility is safe, clean and tidy, secure and fully operational and compliant.

You will carry out site audits to undertake contract safety and vehicle compliance checks. Maintaining good site moral and feeding back concerns, ideas and improvements.
