**Job Title**:Fundraising Officer

**Line Manager**:Chief Officer

**Hours of Work**:21 hours per week (Home & Office based)

**Salary**:£24,000 - £30,000 (pro-rata) Based on experience

**Main purpose of job**:To co-ordinate, deliver and develop the Citizens Advice Corby & Kettering fundraising strategy

**Main Duties**:

- With the Chief Officer and Advice Services Manager, agree and develop needs-led projects to attract funds
- To make presentations to local Rotary, Lions and other local groups to raise profile and attract funding
- Establish effective links with representatives from local media and publicise fundraising activity
- To recruit and train an active group of volunteers who are involved in supporting the Fundraising Committee programme
- Support a Friends of CASCK Committee as a fundraising group for the charity. This group will look establish a range of non-grant focussed income generating schemes
- In conjunction with the Chief Officer, to identify potential high value supporters, companies and groups and co-ordinate their contact and involvement with CASCK
- Organise events and campaigns as part of community fundraising development. To be responsible for new and imaginative activities to motivate and involve Citizens Advice volunteers and new supporters

**Other Duties**:

- Maintain and develop electronic and manual administration systems and data records of donors, supporters, volunteers and future prospects
- Support CASCK in the development of fundraising resources and materials such as posters, newsletters and leaflets

**Person Specification**

**Essential**:

- Experience of working in the voluntary sector - Ideally the advice sector
- Team player with a confident manner and professional, flexible, positive approach to work
- A high standard of written English with an ability to produce concise and persuasive prose
- Ability to compose high quality written reports
- High level computer literacy
- Excellent telephone manner
- Close attention to detail
- An ability to work with figures and use spreadsheets
- Proven track record in achieving financial and non-financial targets
- Confident, personable manner
- Knowledge and use of social media

**Desirable**:

- IT and administration skills to manage and develop office electronic and manual systems, including database management.
- Experience in planning and developing effective fundraising strategies
- Relevant professional qualifications or memberships
- A current valid driving licence and/or the use of a car

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 21 per week

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
