Konker is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a multi-disciplinary practice based in Warrington.
This practice has been established for just over 10 years and has grown to a size of 45 staff with an equal gender split and people from around the world working for them.
To their clients, they offer architecture, building surveying, and, project management services.
They are going through a significant period of growth and are looking to grow their Quantity Surveying team by taking on two new QS's. They have recently purchased a brand-new office in Warrington as they outgrew their last office.
The business is in a strong financial position, and they have a full order book for the year ahead.
This Quantity Surveyor position will see you work on a range of large-scale projects within the Logistics, Industrial & Mixed use. Within the QS team now is 4 staff and they have plans to be at 7 or 8 by the end of the year. You will be offered mentoring andsupport for becoming Chartered.
The Role: Quantity Surveyor
- Prepare tender documentation, schedules, cost plans, and cost estimates
- Working on a wide variety of schemes - assisting, offering input and support when appropriate
- Reporting to Senior Managers
- Assist Senior Managers on NEC and JCT contacts, interim valuations, and final accounts with contractors
- Work through the APC process working towards Chartership
The salary for this position ranges from £40,000-£50,000 depending on previous experience. Also, there is a discretionary bonus, flexible working hours, company pension, and support for becoming Chartered.
To Be Considered: Quantity Surveyor
- Experience in the UK working as a Quantity Surveyor
- Confidence in client-facing and being a forward-thinking person
- Able to get on with the hob
- Confident communicating with other consultants in the office
- Degree Qualified or relevant qualification
