**The opportunity**: We have a unique opportunity for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join our security leadership team in a key role leading the cyber security function. Working with the Group Security Director, you will lead the development and implementationof MBDA's UK cyber security strategy. Recognising the business risks involved and the threats posed by increasingly sophisticated cyber threat actors, you will be responsible for the protection and compliance of all MBDA information systems, assets and data.

Comfortable in operating in a highly complex environment, working across multiple networks, multi-classifications, multiple national implementations and multi-million-pound projects and contracts then this rolecould be just for you This role involves on-prem, hybrid and cloud computing skills and exposure to ground breaking technologies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Crafting and leading a robust information security and cyber protection and assurance framework that meets the constantly evolving cyber threat landscape
- Ensuring compliance with national and international Government security regulations, laws and frameworks
- Working alongside the Chief Product Security Officer, handle all external Cyber and Information Security relationships (such as MOD - Cyber Defence and Risk and NCSC) in relation to corporate capability
- Be accountable for incident and breach response, disaster recovery for cyber and information data and assets with associated external governmental agencies.
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders on cyber security

**What we're looking for from you**:

- Significant experience in leading a Cyber security function
- A number of appropriate certifications (such as CCISO, CISSP) showing continued learning and development
- Solid understanding of ISO 27001 implementation and audit programmes.
- Detailed knowledge of NCSC, HMG and MoD policies for classified information systems
- Experience of enterprise information systems within a defence context and associated mitigations, postures, controls, risks and governance.
- Expert communications and ‘soft skills' to articulate security solutions to complex problems and provide clear advice directly to key partners at all levels.
- Experience of leading and managing a team
- Broad comprehensive security knowledge and experience in Protective Security, security operations and personnel security.
