Applicants should have an extensive knowledge of the type of electrical installations on site and be fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
To undertake all work activities as requested by the Estates Officer (Electrical).

To work in accordance with Trust safety rules and procedures at all times.

To actively oversee the operation and control of computerised engineering planned maintenance and labour control scheme, including completion of all paper work and reports as required by the scheme.

To work overtime to carry out repairs/maintenance not possible during normal hours.

Undertake and support own staff in fault finding on complex electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, pumping & pressure boosting, air conditioning, medical gas, standby generator, nurse call, security, UPS, CCTV, data, communications or other critical systems and equipment, using cause and effect analysis and detailed examination to gain a solution.

Interprets and follows detailed electrical circuit drawings and specifications for a range of building services.

To identify, source and order replacement parts for plant breakdowns.

Acts as 'Competent Person' within the meaning of Health Technical Memorandum HTM06-02 when carrying out maintenance duties on Low Voltage Systems and reports directly to the 'Authorised Person' when performing such duties.

Issues and delegates blocks of work to technical staff, based upon their training, competence and capabilities.

Uses all relevant diagnostic, and hand tools within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works.
