**The Job**
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the accounts department. This is an opportunity for a self motivated individual with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail who works week with a team and with determination to see matters to a conclusion. You will need to be able to use initiative, be proactive, resourceful, analytical and adaptable whilst working under pressure.
**The Role**
- Assisting with the general bookkeeping of the business, to include assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Producing timely and accurate management information.
- Assisting in the upkeep of the general/nominal ledger.
- Working with management teams to resolve debt, credit or invoicing errors.
- Overseeing the preparation of quarterly VAT returns; ensuring compliance.
- Reconciliation of monthly employee charge card statements, chasing up non-receipted transactions and escalating queries to management as necessary.
- Assist in reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Dealing with supplier queries ensuring they are concluded in a timely manner.
- Maintenance of the creditors including opening new accounts, resolving unallocated amounts and agreeing appropriate credit terms.
- Assisting with creditor payments to ensure liabilities are paid within their agreed terms.
- Maintenance of fixed assets list.
- General day to day duty with the business.

Salary £24,000 to £30,000 depending on experience
