Our client seeks a Head of Enforcement to join their division.

**Role Profile**:
The Head of Enforcement contributes to the mandate by managing and overseeing all areas within the Enforcement Division’s responsibility. This includes the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and controls for the investigation of, and subsequent action to adequately and effectively deal with, relevant breaches of the Isle of Man’s financial services regulatory and AML/CFT legislation in connection with entities regulated or overseen; as well as the day-to-day leadership, management and development of, and the provision of strategic direction to, staff of the Enforcement Division.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- The Head will manage a diverse team of professionals to optimise completion of priorities and the Divisional plan.
- Effectively manage the Division’s staff through leadership, coaching, setting stretching objectives and working with staff to identify and address relevant development needs to facilitate a high performing, engaged team.
- In conjunction with other senior executives, lead enforcement actions flowing from the Supervisory Methodology, and ensure that systems are correctly utilised.
- Develop strategies to prioritise and take enforcement action against activity that breaches legislation
- Formulate plans to achieve the organisational and Division objectives, anticipating potential problems and taking pre-emptive action where necessary, thus ensuring a high quality and quantity of work is produced by the Division.
- Plan, co-ordinate and deliver statutory investigations, ensuring evidence obtained is assessed, and make recommendations to assist in achieving strategic plan and regulatory objectives, protecting relevant interests in accordance with the powers and agreed enforcement procedures.
- Oversee the formulation of recommendations for actions to be taken under all relevant legislation and provide regular updates to the Chief Executive and Board.
- Manage the collation of intelligence for use throughout and other agencies and disseminate accordingly, including determining whether regulatory investigations should be opened, and pursuing accordingly.
- Identify and assess potential risk trends with other senior executives, including assessing and reviewing the risks of the work of the Enforcement Division to ensure this remains within risk tolerance levels.
- Oversee the maintenance and development of effective intelligence systems including representing at meetings as appropriate.
- Produce papers and reports on enforcement matters and present the Division’s periodic reports to the Board.
- Develop key relationships both domestically and internationally to further our ability to reduce threats to our regulatory objectives through sound practices and information sharing.
- Contribute to introduction of new or amended legislation, guidance, policies and procedures to ensure regulatory requirements remain appropriate and comply with international standards.
- Be a change agent: actively support and adopt changes, in the continued drive for improvements and automation.
