- Range £57,713.00 to £57,713.00Job Purpose
Reporting to the APU1 (East) you will be a member of the team responsible for Beet Purchase, LimeX and Topsoil plus maintenance activity in these areas. The role will be predominantly based at Cantley, however the APU (East) and APG (East) will be required to work at both Bury and Cantley to match company needs. To Support the APU agriculture structure across all sites the role will also be integral to the purchase of the beet crop and Agriculture co products through activity coordination for the department.
Core Accountabilities
- Manage Beet Intake on a daily basis, monitor performance to deliver compliance to the beet purchase procedures.
- Support off season maintenance for all beet purchase activities through annual spend control and EOM.
- Deliver KPI’s across beet purchase, topsoil and LimeX areas.
- Support and manage data collation for Crop Forecast and beet delivery reallocations.
- Deputise for the site APU 1 Lead and provide weekend cover as agreed with APU1 lead.
- Manage the day to day Plant contract requirements through close liaison with the Plant site forman.
- Support financial governance is in place for budgetary requirements and cost control.
- Ensure quality and supply of LimeX, Topsoil and other co products.
- Deliver required volumes of topsoil and conditioning area to minimise operational costs and reduce cost/ tonne.
- Support PIP and CI activity.
Skills, Knowledge & Competencies
- An awareness of beet purchase procedures.
- IOSH managing safely qualified
- Ability to manage a team for campaign operations
- A strong communicator
- Works on own initiative and ability to work as part of a team.
- Understanding of the Heavy plant contract with M Obrien
- Good IT Skills
- Ability to work at various sites
- Self motivated to work to timelines
