**Health and Safety Advisor**

**Southall,UB2 4NA**

**6-month contract which may lead to a full-time permanent position**

**Hours : Monday - Friday 7.00 - 4.30 (or 6.00 - 3.30 whichever suits)**

The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventative maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Health and Safety advisor to join the facilities and engineering division, supporting a plant maintenance contract in Southall, UB2 4NA.

**Duties**

As an experienced Health and Safety advisor you will be working within a food production facility in Southall, UB2 4NA. Primary responsibilities will be to provide Health and Safety advice, support and direction to the on site facilities management team. Specific duties will include preparing method statements, risk assessments and standard operating procedures prior to the commencement of general building and industrial machine maintenance tasks. The works typically include maintenance to industrial steam boilers, air compressors, effluent plant, refrigeration, lighting and the associated control panels, along with small building works and day to day reactive maintenance.

**About you**

Based ideally in the Southall area you will need to live within a one hour commute of UB2 4NA. Travel expenses and accommodation costs are not covered with this role.

Demonstrable experience of providing Health and Safety advice within a manufacturing facility with a clear understanding of permits to work, working at heights, hot works and confined space working.

NEBOSH or IOSH Qualification is essential for this position.

In return for your experience, you will receive a salary between £15.20 and £16.73 PAYE or £20.00 and £22.00 CIS per hour as well as a range of benefits.
