**The role**

- You will use your experience and knowledge to shape the services we offer, ensuring access to education for all young people.
- You will ensure statutory services are delivered, and act quickly and effectively in response to changes.
- As the Head of Access, you will have a leadership role and will be an important member of the Children’s Services leadership team, playing a key role in strategic decision making, performance management and accountability frameworks.
- You will oversee the work of a range of services including school admissions, home to school transport, school and early years place planning, early years funding, education welfare services, and the music service offered to schools as a traded service.
- You will be working closely with our schools and colleagues from across the organisation.
- We are looking for an experienced leader who is determined to make a difference and you will have a proven track record in delivering a range of excellent education services.
- You will have the ability to motivate colleagues and partners, building positive relationships that deliver great outcomes for our children and young people.

**You will also need to demonstrate**:

- Relevant degree or professional qualification.
- Management/leadership experience in sectors which have led to positive outcomes for children, young people and families
- We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, and are passionate about education services.
