**Works Planner & Administrative Assistant (Surfacing) | Leicester | Full Time | Competitive based on experience**

Established in Leicestershire in 1946, our client has continued to trade since then as a specialist road surfacing contractor. Following a management buy-out in 2002, the company has undergone vigorous growth to its present turnover of £5 million p.a.

**Are you the right person for the job?**
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Programme day to day work with our supply chain
- Experience in a telephone communications role is a must
- Lease with operational staff booking holidays etc.
- Experience in administrative functions a must
- Experience in the use of computer systems. (Word, Excel ideal) a must
- Use of company systems training will be given
- Competent level of numeracy and literacy skills
- Experience and knowledge of computer systems
- An understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and procedures that have a direct impact within the office ideal / preferred
- Demonstrate a competent level with office-based equipment.
- Have the ability to accurately file and retrieve records.
- Able to plan and prioritise work.
- Excellent customer relationships i.e., telephone manner and appearance

**What will your role as a Works Planer & Administrative Assistant Surfacing look like?**
- Assisting Commercial Lead and Estimator
- Setting up tender files with Commercial Lead and Team
- Completing Pre-Qualification and Quality Questionnaires with the Commercial Team
- Manage the day to day works programme
- Assisting Surfacing Director with (Health, Safety, Quality and Training)
- Leasing with the Operations team booking holidays etc.
- Ordering stationery and PPE as and when required
- Reception and incoming main board telephone calls
- Collating of documents
- Postal requirements and stationery if Needed
- Payroll preparation in readiness for the finance Team
- Assistant to senior management when required (filing, telephone calls, appointment scheduling, health & safety files. etc.)
- Meet and greet.
