**About the role**

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Yard Assistant to join our team in our Llangefni Branch. The role is part-time 30+ hours, with a usual work schedule from Wednesday to Friday (7:30 am - 5:00 pm) and Saturday mornings (8:00 am - 12:00 pm).
- Order picking, loading of delivery vehicles or customers' cars
- Operating a forklift to load and unload vehicles
- Assisting customers with their purchases and answering their questions
- Ensuring that all health and safety regulations are followed
- Maintaining stock control and ensuring the yard and warehouse are kept clean and organized
- Performing other ad hoc tasks as required.

**Requirements**:

- Good communication and customer service skills
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit as heavy lifting is required for this role
- Previous experience operating a forklift would be advantageous
- Familiarity with the building industry and materials would be beneficial
