Crystal Care Solutions are a specialist, independent social care organization who operate a number of residential and supported living units across the region.
- **What you’ll do**_

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Crystal Care Solutions team for a Support Worker within our Care Leaving Service for 16-25 year olds. Our aim and yours will be to transform the lives of the young people in our service. As a Support Worker, every day will be different and you won’t find a more rewarding career.

We want to hear from caring, enthusiastic and dedicated team players with a can-do approach who really care about the needs of young people. You’ll enjoy working with children and young people, providing day to day support, guidance and facilitate activities. You’ll create a safe, caring and supportive place to live for our young people.

A full UK driving license, and a vehicle we ask that you get business insurance on is required for this role.

This role requires you to sleep in (£50 per sleep in additional to your salary) following each shift.

- Provide a safe environment for the young people within our service
- Good communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships
- Be a good team player to provide a high level of support and achieve positive outcomes
- Encourage the young people to be motivated and take part in activities, education and extracurricular activities
- Have attention to detail ensuring correct information is recorded in all paperwork
- Demonstrate a commitment to own training and development
- Be able to adapt working practice to the ethos of the home
- Have resilience, motivation and determination
- Can adapt to challenging and changing situations
- Be inclusive to all children and young people and committed to upholding and protecting the rights of individuals
- Be flexible and able to undertake shift work including weekends and sleep-ins
- Be confident in using Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word, or willing to learn
- Full UK driving licence
- **Desirable Attributes**_
- Experience working with adults or young people in a supported living or residential setting
- Experience of working within learning disability or mental health settings, with individuals who may demonstrate challenging and complex behaviours, or in a therapeutic young people’s residential setting
- Diploma Level 3 qualified in Children and Young Persons Workforce or equivalent or willingness to work towards the above Level 3 qualification
- Knowledge of current legislation relevant to Care Leaving services or supported living
- Experience of Ofsted/CQC/Social Care Wales inspections
- Understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people
