- As Head of Packaging R&D you will be reporting into the R&D Director. You will be responsible for the development, co-ordination, and delivery of Packaging innovation and development activity for all channels of our business.- You will provide expertise and inspiration to help shape and deliver the packaging strategy for the business with a keen eye on the competitive market to keep the business abreast of innovation and developments relevant to our market. Driving the sustainability agenda from a packaging perspective to help deliver in line with business expectations on materials and reduction targets.- You will manage, develop and inspire a team of packaging experts in the business responsible for delivery of the development process ensuring fit for purpose solutions to keep us ahead of the market.- Developing excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders with a focus on best practise ways of working, will be vital to the success of this role.- Main responsibilities:
- Degree qualified or relevant qualifications.
- Highly experienced in a packaging role within a FMCG environment, with direct experience of influencing and managing senior stakeholders.
- An excellence working knowledge of different packaging substrates such as printed flexibles, cartons, tins, corrugated and thermoformed packaging.
- Systems and software knowledge to include Microsoft packages, Adobe Illustrator, Cape, and Apple Systems.
- Experience managing and developing a team

- Degree qualified or relevant qualifications.
- Highly experienced in a packaging role within a FMCG environment, with direct experience of influencing and managing senior stakeholders.
- An excellence working knowledge of different packaging substrates such as printed flexibles, cartons, tins, corrugated and thermoformed packaging.
- Systems and software knowledge to include Microsoft packages, Adobe Illustrator, Cape, and Apple Systems.
- Experience managing and developing a team
- Proven track record in maintaining good working relationships.
- Good presentation skills (written & verbal).
- Strong analytical skills / IT skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Works well under pressure / under time constraints
- Self-starter, self-motivating good understanding/ appreciation of the broader business
- Proven track record of delivering multiple complex projects in-market
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Team management and development
