**About the Employer**

I am looking for a energetic, friendly and responsible PA to support my daughter to access leisure activities and have fun - the hours are Monday to Wednesday plus overnight support every other month at our home (usually Saturday morning to Sunday tea time).

**About the Role**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
- Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
- Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
- Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
- Support and/or prompt to attend appointments as necessary, e.g. hospital/doctors.
- Support with food shopping.
- Support the individual to look after/care for pets.
- Support and/or prompt the individual to access sporting and leisure activities.
- Assist and encourage socialisation, participating in activities.
- Promote and encourage friendships and independence.
- Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
- To manage my daughter's seizures to keep her safe by adhering to correct procedures advised by employer; calmly and confidently supporting my daughter when she gets upset or frustrated to calm the situation and move forward.

The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

**Transport Requirement**:
Full driving licence is essential as the role requires you to drive the employer’s vehicle, for insurance purposes you must be check restrictions with the employer.

- Chatty and friendly but a listener to genuinely engage with my daughter; should have knowledge, experience and confidence to support and assist my daughter during seizures including administering medicine as required & putting into recovery position.

**Required Training**:

- Epilepsy. Training will be provided by the employer.

**When you are Required**:
**Hours per week**: 15 hours per week (Mon-Wed) + 30 hours alternate months (Sat-Sun)
- Monday, 5 hours, 9.30am - 2.30pm (can be slightly flexible)
- Tuesday, 5 hours, 9.30am - 2.30pm (can be slightly flexible)
- Wednesday, 5 hours, 9.30am - 2.30pm (can be slightly flexible)
- Saturday, 30 hours every other month - start time 10.00am
- Sunday, 30 hours every other month - finish time 4.00pm

**Hourly Rate of pay**: £10.72 (Rising to £11.44 on 1st April)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.72 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 45 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Home care: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
