Overview:
Warringtonfire, part of the Element Group, has exciting opportunity for a **Technical Assistant** to join our Fire laboratory in High Wycombe.

As a Technical Assistant you will be performing a variety of fire tests on items such as roller shutter doors, fire doors and building materials amongst others. Our testing determines whether our clients' products perform as intended.

**Responsibilities**:

- Fabrication of supporting constructions for fire test specimens
- Fabrication of specialist constructions required for fire tests
- Installation of fire test specimens
- Instrumentation of fire test specimens
- Conducting fire tests
- Demolition and disposal of test remains
- Maintenance of laboratory, test equipment and safety equipment

Skills / Qualifications:

- A good general level of education
- Ideally experienced in the construction industry or similar
- Preference would be given to individuals experienced in fire safety testing
- Capable of using a variety of hand tools
- Demonstrable ability to learn quickly and absorb new skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience of meeting deadlines
- Can follow instructions and procedures accurately and in a timely and efficient manner
