Barista / Hotel and Cafe Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cafe Assistant to join our team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers and assisting with various tasks in the cafe. This is a paid position.

**Duties**:

- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, efficient service
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including cleaning tables, counters, and equipment
- Stock supplies and ensure inventory levels are maintained
- Assist with food preparation, such as chopping vegetables or assembling sandwiches
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure safe handling of food products
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- assist with hotel duties where required

Qualifications:

- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of basic math for cash handling and inventory management
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Previous experience in a cafe or food service setting is required

Pay: From £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
