We are currently recruiting senior and qualified children's residential support workers for our 3-bedded Therapeutic Residential Children's Home in Stafford.... **Would you describe yourself as being experienced in Children's Residential Care?**
- **Senior**:STARTING at £28,800
- **Qualified**: WITHOUT senior responsibilities STARTING at £26,400
- **Home location**: ST16

**Hours and shift pattern**:

- 24 hour shifts to include sleep in duties
- 10 shifts per month
- Starting time 10:30am

**Essential criteria**:

- Access to transport to be able to comfortably commute to ST16

**Your experience**:

You should have a desire to want to make an impact. Passion is the most important thing whilst working in this sector. Your priority should be to make a difference to the lives of our young children who live in our big happy home. You really need to enjoy what you do and **you will need the following**:

- The ability to take direction from the Deputy and Registered Manager
- Confidence around children, young people and adults
- Good written skills to write detailed reports and record information

**You really have to connect with young people** and be able to understand what they have been through in life. You should enjoy the variety of the role and bring a sense of humour to work. You should be willing to engage in all activities which might include sports, recreational and leisure, dancing, parties, trips to the zoo and the seaside.

**Day to day responsibilities**:

- Care and support young people with challenging behaviour, trauma, attachment issues, mental health, ADHD, and autism and various other barriers
- Foster positive relationships, encouraging strong bonds between you and the children and young people
- Value and nurture each child as an individual with talents, strengths and capabilities
- You will advocate for the rights of our children and young people to influence positive change in their circumstances
- Share domestic and non domestic routines and establish boundaries of acceptable behaviour
- You will help with their learning and development, help them with such matters as budgeting, education and training, employment and staying safe
- Supporting emotional, mental and physical health needs including building self-esteem and helping to rebuild and repair earlier damage
- You will work with the wider system of professionals and children's families and the community
- **SENIORS **may deputise in the absence of Team Leaders/Deputy's
- Create play and activities
- Attend meetings and reviews
