**Job Title**:Fleet Repair Controller
**Location**:Bracknell, Berkshire
**Hours**:Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week (Hybrid 3 days office, 2 days at home)
**Salary**:£30,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension contribution, Private health care plus other benefits.

**Role Overview**:
**Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to**:

- Processing all vehicle maintenance and damage repair onto the inhouse repair system (MDMS)
- Ensure a cost-effective repair with consideration at all times to minimising downtime and ensuring a safe repair method is used in reference to manufacturer’s specification.
- Ensure safe, roadworthy and well-maintained vehicles are provided to field operations.
- Manage and maintain MDMS ‘to do list’ daily to ensure all live repairs are on track Update MDMS accordingly with job progress details to ensure Operations and the Damage & Maintenance Team are kept aware of repair progress.
- Work with the Damage & Maintenance Team to drive continuous improvement in maintenance and repair activities, including process changes where appropriate.
- Provide, when required effective support to all stores and facility maintenance teams in relation to vehicle repair.
- Main dealer booking and management.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Work with fellow team members to assist in delivering the company’s strategy and objectives
- Work in line with operating policies and standards as defined by the company based on the on-going need to reduce vehicle preparation, damage and maintenance costs and to support increases in fleet utilization
- Promotes effective communication and cooperation with operations, maintenance and facility employees
- Influence on a daily basis where possible, out-of-service volumes and ensure that vehicles are repaired in a timely manner maximising the volume of vehicles available for rent
- Assist in controlling maintenance costs and other key performance metrics against defined operational targets and works to ensure that targets are met
- Assist in delivery of maintenance and repair activity in off-peak periods to maximise number of vehicles available at peak periods
- Continually reviews with line manager how vehicle maintenance and repair activities can be delivered most cost effectively exploiting all available resources
- Assist in measuring the performance of the outsourced repair network to ensure KPI’s are met and to satisfy standards imposed by the business
- Collaborates with teams to ensure optimal operation of supplier contracts and relationships
- Support the rollout of systems and processes to manage and control maintenance activities (MDMS)
- Ensures vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturer service intervals
- Reviews and where necessary approves vehicle repair appraisals and maintenance work or purchase orders as directed by line manager
- Identifies areas of best practice and shares with line manager
- Adheres to company controls to the limit the potential for fraud and corruption

**Performance will be assessed relative to the following key metrics**:

- Volume of out of service (OOS) vehicles as a percentage of total rentable fleet
- Peak day/period OOS percentage
- Visibility of maintenance and damage costs per rental day
- Damage recovery performance
- Number of vehicles overdue preventative maintenance
- Rectification costs, including the impact of any pre-return repairs per returned vehicle
- NPS against target KPI

**Essential Technical and Business Skills Required**:

- Full UK driving license
- Strives to constantly improve performance of the business

- Good understanding of automotive industry and vehicle maintenance processes
- Financial awareness and good understanding of vehicle repair costs
