**Job Title**: Dog Groomer

**Location**: Ginger&Browns - Innoscent Spa, Blakemere Village, Chester Road, Sandiway, Cheshire, CW8 2EB

**Hours**: 40 per week. Days off - Thursday + Saturday or Sunday

**Holiday**: 20 days per annum holiday plus Bank Holidays, other benefits including staff discounts and pension scheme.

**About Us**:
Ginger&Browns is a modern, award winning, independent pet shop specialising in dogs, cats and wildlife. In August 2019, we opened Innoscent Spa - our purpose-built grooming facility for dogs. We now have an exciting opportunity for a new team member to come and join our team

You will offer a high standard of dog grooming as well as friendly and professional customer service in person, over the phone, and through social media. You will work closely with the team to grow the business, and to ensure the day to day running remains efficient.

**Your Role**:

- Grooming of clients’ dogs from start to finish as well as other treatments
- Customer service e.g. managing reception, telephone answering, timetabling appointments, general communication with clients
- Managing supplies
- Maintaining equipment and premises to ensure excellent hygiene and presentation standards
- Regular input at team meetings to help expand Innoscent Spa and grow our reputation
- You will also be expected to help with other non-grooming related tasks within the company as required - we’re a small team so collaborating together is just as essential as being independent, we have a retail store which you will also be expected to work in when not grooming
- Future roles may include mentoring/supervision of junior staff as the business continues to grow, and progression towards management positions

**Essential Requirements**
- Level 3+ (or equivalent) in Dog Grooming from e.g. City and Guilds, The Open College Network, ICMG
- Excellent communication and organisational skills in the workplace
- Excellent customer service and a friendly, approachable manner
- The ability to groom a dog from start to finish

**Desirable Requirements**
- Ability to use social media platforms e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
- A year’s experience or more in a professional dog grooming environment
- Experience in retail or a sales-based position
- Relevant experience, qualifications, knowledge e.g. canine first aid, animal behaviour, positive training methods to match our company ethos
- Experience of day-to-day business management, employee management, marketing/branding

**Salary**: From £22,000.00 per year
