**About the role**
To commercially support the creation of new business and maintenance of existing business ensuring the maximisation of margin and cashflow whilst mitigating business risk and providing constructive tension.

**What will you do?**
- Commercial ownership, support and challenge for bids/tenders, renewals, and other sales opportunities.
- Ensure that financial guidelines and business governance is adhered to throughout the business cycle.
- Commercial responsibility for cost-based modelling tools and calculators to ensure that predicted financial outcomes are realistic.
- To support and advise the Product team regarding new business cases and products.
- To provide a business partnering facility as required.
- Offer commercial support and advice across the business (Sales, Pre-Sales, Sales Support, Legal, Operations, Bids, Products, Finance).
- Review, assist and recommend actions to improve failing business streams.
- A trusted advisor / critical friend to all areas of the business.
- Ad hoc project work including cost saving/revenue maximisation initiatives.

**Skills/Competencies**
- Significant commercial, contractual, and business process experience.
- High degree of numeracy and strong analytical skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing processes in business.
- Good understanding of the telecoms market and competitors/suppliers.
- Qualified / Part Qualified / QBE accountant.
- Ability to deliver objectives through multi-disciplined teamwork.
- Ability to assimilate complex data/scenarios and communicate the financial implications and consequences to operational management.
- Logical thinker with strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate with, persuade and influence a wide audience at all levels, internally and externally.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
