**The job itself**:
Kingsway Childcare are looking to extend their team by employing a **Casual Childcare Practitioner** to work in our very busy Outstanding Day Nursery. We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner to **work on an as and when required basis during term time only**.

Kingsway Childcare is an extremely busy setting who offer childcare places to children between the ages of 2-5 years from 9am - 4pm. You would be expected to work to a high standard; however, you will receive full support from knowledgeable practitioners and coaching from your Manager as you settle into a very welcoming team.

You should hold **at least a** **level 2 qualification in a childcare related field** (Level 2 or 3 Diploma CACHE, Level 2/3 BTEC National Certificate in Early Years, NVQ Level 2/3 in Early Years and Education) and be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the setting.

You will support a safe and stimulating learning environment for children and demonstrate a good understanding of how to motivate and engage children with their development and learning.

You will need sound knowledge of how to safeguard children and protect them from harm.

You should have experience of supporting parents and an understanding of, and commitment to, working with parents as first educators of their children.

You will have knowledge and experience of observation, assessment and planning within the EYFS.

You will have good communication and listening skills and the ability to inspire and empower people.

You will ensure as part of a team that a high-quality enabling environment is maintained.
