Trainee Mason

**Join a growing construction firm.**

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Mason / Masons mate to work with a growing Cornish construction firm learning traditional techniques. You will be working on various sites around Falmouth. You will work with a great team and will receive a pay rate of £13 - £15 /h depending on experience, which will increase as your skills increase.

**Responsibilities**:

- Mixing up
- Assissting the mason
- General labouring
- Shadowing the mason, taking full advantage of on the job training

**Experience**:

- Proven experience on site.
- Proficiency in use of basic tools and site safety.
- Ideally some background knowledge or interest in masonry and plastering.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills, timekepping and reliabilty.
- Must have own transport and be able to drive.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- labouring: 1 year (preferred)
