**Your role**:
The Global Relay Bistro team is looking for a Catering Chef to join us on a permanent basis from our state of the art offices based in London. Our office is equipped with a commercial kitchen and event space for up to 150 guests, client briefing meeting rooms and satellite canteens for staff. With this being a brand new role, we would like to build out our culinary team, adding an extra quality to both our in-house client catering and subsidized meals for all staff. This is a well-rounded role and will allow someone to gain invaluable experience in a lot of different aspects of office catering. This role would be full-time Monday to Friday with working hours between 7am - 4pm. Please note, some flexibility will be required to support with in-house events taking place during the week.

**Your job**:

- Assisting with the set-up, execution and tear down of any catering requirements in our office for both staff and external guests
- Ensuring high quality levels are met when executing all catering to showcase our company in its best light
- Plating and presenting events catering for external guests - continental breakfast, charcuterie boards, drinks reception etc.
- Assisting culinary team with food service including preparing and serving to staff and clean up after lunch service
- Maintaining front of house equipment such as fridges, coffee machines, dishwashers etc.
- Ensuring general cleanliness and upkeep of the lounge, kitchen and equipment on a daily and ongoing basis
- Ensuring dishware is ready for food service including being fully stocked, polished and presented neatly
- Stocking of all food supplies and consumables in our office, ensuring that all stock, catering supplies and dishware are distributed evenly between our canteens
- Assisting the office facilities team with any requests that might come up for the office - setting up auditorium for events, moving furniture etc.

**About you**:

- Experience working in events and hospitality is an asset
- Experience working with food
- Physically demanding job - must be okay with standing on feet for long periods of time and lifting heavy objects
- Works well with a team
- Can use their own initiative and be proactive when completing tasks
- Great attention to detail
- High standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Excellent customer service skills
