We're seeking an enthusiastic and resilient **Switchboard Operator** to provide essential support for our kitchen and bathroom refurbishment projects. Your role involves efficiently directing our residents to the appropriate project representative to address their inquiries promptly.
Additionally, you will assist in managing basic office tasks on a daily basis to ensure our entire team feels supported from an administrative perspective. As a Switchboard Operator, you will be responsible for taking and transferring incoming calls, whilst providing a patient, kind and efficient customer service, facilitating the smooth communication between the residents whose homes we are refurbishing and our operational team.
**Main Objectives of the Role**:
- Answering and directing incoming calls courteously and professionally
- Providing assistance and information to callers as required
- Transferring calls to the appropriate departments' representatives
- Accurately recording messages and relaying important information
- Operating telephone switchboard equipment and related systems
- Maintaining accurate records of calls and messages
- Assisting with daily assigned administrative tasks
**Do you have what it takes?**
- Previous experience as a calls operator, receptionist or similar role is preferred however, with the right attitutde anything can be learned
- Strong verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented approach
- Ability to remain calm and composed when speaking on the phone to upset residents
