Our client, a leading independent Oil & Gas operator, based in Wytch Farm, Wareham, Dorset, is currently seeking an enthusiastic IT Technician to join their team, on a full time, 9-month FTC basis.

As the IT Technician, you will have responsibility for providing IT Support Services within the Wytch Farm IT team, using the company helpdesk system (for which training will be provided).
- Do you have the ability to investigate hardware issues (desktops, laptops, printers)?
- Are you able to work with mínimal supervision, but able to communicate with line management on a regular basis?
- Do you have a background of working with a helpdesk logging system?

**Key Responsibilities for the IT Technician Include**:

- Work to objectives set by the Wytch Farm IT Manager
- Comply with company IT standards and security guidelines.
- Proactively use and monitor the Helpdesk logging system.
- Analyse and rectify identified problems in a professional, timely manner.
- Interface and provide feedback when solving problems/requests.
- Provide a professional and polite service to the customer.
- Work closely with team members when solving complex problems.
- Be aware of data security at all times and pro-actively seek to resolve issues as they arise, as a priority, including the escalation and mitigation of risks to services

**Essential Skills & Experience Required**:

- Experience of Windows 10\11 Operating Systems.
- Experience of MS Office 365, particularly Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Exchange
- An understanding of Local Area Networking infrastructure, including telecoms, Ethernet, TCP/IP.
- To take responsibility for Health & Safety and Data Security within the remit of this role, communicating concerns in a timely manner.
