**IS** **Machine Operator**

**Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an IS Machine Operator to join our Rotherham based client.**

**Main Areas of Responsibility**:

- Safe operation of IS Machine in accordance with Company procedures
- Bottle fault diagnosis and correction of faults
- Keeping area around the IS Machine and associated equipment clean, safe and glass free
- Recording of actions taken on the IS Machine in the paper log
- Recording of process control parameters on the IS machine and associated equipment
- Measuring of dimensional parameters as indicated on the QA specification
- Completion of pre shift check list
- Checking bottle sets and recording in Superview at least every hour
- Full use of Superview to pre warn Cold End of any problems encountered on the IS Machine
- Checking and recording gauging checks at least every hour
- Working to company Standard Operating Procedures.
- Careful use and handling of mould equipment
- Achievement of departmental targets
- Read and act upon the information supplied in the Production Information sheet
- Report any faults on the IS Machine either to SPS or by use of the Operators engineering fault log
- Train new Operators as requested
- Assistance on job changes if requested
- Any other reasonable duties as requested within skill set

**Person Specification**:

- Extensive bottle fault knowledge
- Experience of Lean Manufacturing
- Experience of working within CI teams
- In-depth appreciation of technology and related complications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Can safely operate all IS machine controls when stood on floor in front of machine
- City & Guilds in a mechanical qualification (or equivalent)
- IOSH or equivalent H&S training
- Previous IS Machine operating and setting experience.
- Fully PC literate
- Motivated and professional with a desire to achieve results with a commercial and customer focus
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise and delegate
- Self-resilient and capable of making difficult decisions
- Have basic problem solving ability
- Promotes and is passionate about the values and standards of the business.
- Ability to work in a sometimes pressurised environment
- Willing to undertake additional tasks (within capabilities) to get the job done
- Willingness to take ownership

**Shift Pattern: 5 Shift.**

**Salary: Competitive.**
