Yard Supervisor

We now have an opportunity for an experienced Yard Operative to join the team based out of our Llantrisant Depot.

This role will require experience of managing a yard/depot and ensuring its smooth running.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for ensuring all yard activities are carried out in a safe manner
- Ensure the depot and associated areas are kept in a clean, safe, and tidy condition.
- Maintain vehicle and pedestrian routes
- Co-ordination of vehicles entering and leaving the yard
- Ensure safe storage of all plant and equipment within the yard
- Controlling Loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required.
- PPE as required must be worn at all times.
- Ensure your required productivity levels are maintained.
- Report any issues identified directly to your line manager.
- Ensure that Health and Safety standards are adhered to, ensuring the safety of yourself, your colleagues, visitors, and members of the public within the yard area

**Skills and Experience**:

- Full clean driving licence.
- Familiar with Plant and its operations.
- Will be required to move vehicles and plant within the depot.
- Forklift licence.
- Previous experience in a similar role, hire business or builders’ merchants.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of basic H&S standards
